We have been informed by Xero that the current API connection that customers use to connect to the Validis DataShare service is going to be withdrawn from service. Access to this service will be withdrawn on May 21st 2019.
What does this mean?
No existing Xero users will be able to use the service as it is after May 21st 2019. In addition, no new users (customers who use Xero but have never uploaded to the Validis DataShare platform) will be able to upload or onboard after next Friday March 8th.
Why is this happening?
Xero wish to set up a direct contract with Validis DataShare Clients (Financial Institutions) to use our application to access data of their Customers (Companies uploading data through DataShare) who use Xero.
What do we need to do to continue your service?
Xero requires Validis DataShare clients to register at the Xero Developer Centre. They will then be in contact to discuss the next steps and their requirements. Once clients have resolved the registration and contract directly with Xero, we will be able to provide a connector registered in their name. This will work as the current Validis DataShare deployment does.
How Validis can support you?
For support through this process, our Connector Product Manager will be available to explain all of the steps to our clients and help them through the process, including liaison with the Xero team.
For operational support, our existing 1st line support team have been briefed.
We can also support a communication to our clients existing customer base to inform them of this change should clients feel it is appropriate.
If you need further information
Please don’t hesitate to contact your Validis Account manager or the DataShare support team if you have any questions on any part of this.
