We adopt a policy of withdrawing support for Accounting Package releases that are no longer supported by the Accounting Package vendor.
What does this mean?
This doesn't necessarily mean DataShare will stop working with your Accounting Package. DataShare can still be used, but we will withdraw support, and any updates pertaining to that Accounting Package release. We announce the withdrawal of support, for particular Accounting Package versions on our support site. When you contact the DataShare Service Desk we will be unable to provide any upgrades or error corrections to DataShare for Accounting Packages where support has been withdrawn.
Why do we do this?
It is standard industry practice for technology companies to withdraw support for older versions of software. Every year we invest in research and development to improve our software and services. We do this in line with regular customer feedback and to incorporate new technology and changes in legislation. By concentrating our support resources on vendor supported Accounting Packages we ensure that we can continue to offer the best level of support for our software that we can.
