Creating the General Ledger Report
While viewing the reports for the engagement, select the "Standard Reporting Packs" tab. Then select the "Generate General Ledger Report" tab and choose the period you would like to generate.
Click "Generate" to start downloading the report as an excel file.
After the report is generated, it is stored on this page to download again if needed. Additionally, once downloaded other users will not have to generate the report again and will be able to download the original report.
Creating the General Ledger Report (Old UI)
Within the DataShare client portal, expand the "Reporting Packs" area and select the "Generate General Ledger Report".
A period selection scroll-down box will appear. Select the period for which you wish to view the General Ledger Report and click "Generate"
The generated 'General Ledger' report file will appear on the screen. You can also download them to your computer in an Excel file format and stored them within your internet browser's default location for downloaded files.
After you have generated and downloaded the 'General Ledger' report you can then work through the excel spreadsheet to conduct the audit.
Alternatively, you can conduct the audit first by using DataShare Reports online reports viewer and then generate the 'General Ledger' report.
