Within the client portal, expand "Reporting Packs" and click on "Generate Journal Entries Report"
To generate a 'Journal Entries' report for a client, you will first need to select the period you would like to generate the reports. You can do this by clicking the date range button next to 'select:' on the top right.
Once you have selected the period, a window will appear asking you to select the 'From' and 'To' years as well as any applicable periods contained within these years. Click the 'Apply' button to apply these changes to the report viewer.
After date selection has been made, the listing of journal entries will appear on the DataShare portal. You can click the 'Download' button to generate a 'Journal Entries' file that will then be downloaded to your computer in an Excel file format and stored within your internet browser's default location for downloaded files.
After you have generated and downloaded the 'Journal Entries' report you can then work through the excel spreadsheet to conduct the audit.
Once on the DataShare dashboard, search for your desired engagement and click "View Reports".
Select the "General Ledger" section, then click the "Journal Entries" tab. Please ensure the correct time frame has been selected for the data you wish to download. Once the data has loaded, click the "Download" button to download the report in an Excel file format. The file will be stored within your internet browser's default location for downloaded files.
